Vengeful Ex.... Help Please?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleI broke up with my most recent boyfriend because I figured I still loved my previous ex, and although I wasn't trying to get back with him, I found it cruel of me to be using my boyfriend as a replacement. Not replacement of 'to be able to move on,' but a replacement in the sense of 'I'll pretend he's my ex.' So I called it off.
He's taking it the hard way. Now he's trying to win over my friends so that they all see me as the Bad Guy. He even made up stories of me being a Cheating Whore, leading three guys at once. I can't really make people believe me because I'm usually the quiet type in the group, and nobody would care much about me.
What should I do? I've tried confronting him several times but he never listens, and winning my friends back is h*ll...
RomanceClass.com AdviceFirst of all I give you big points for doing the right thing in breaking up with this guy. His reaction is typical of someone getting dumped. He wants to hurt you back, so he's going after your friends. So here's the big question: if your friends are believing him rather than you, are they really your friends? Go to each of your friends, tell them what you just told me, and if they still believe him over you then it's time to find new friends.
