Does he like me?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My guy friend and I have become close friends in the past few weeks. He hugs me a lot, and he sometimes rests his hand just above my knee when we're sitting and talking. He comes up behind me and puts his arms around my waist, and tries to pick me up and carry me around a lot.

He is always poking me or touching my hair, and he puts his arm around my shoulders, He looks at me a lot in the lunch hall, and he always meets my eyes and smiles at me.

He isn't afraid to hug me or show affection in front of his friends or groups of people.

Does he like me? Thanks in advance :)

Clearly the guy likes you :) He wouldn't be spending all this time and energy on flirting with you if he didn't like you. It's especially good news that he is fine showing his affection for you in front of other people. So he is fine with your friends all knowing about his feelings.

Find a way to show him that you're interested in getting even closer. Is there any way to plan a group trip to the movies, for example, and sit next to him?

Nuzzle into him a little more when he puts his arm around you. Be the one to initiate the hug sometimes. Give him some positive feedback!
