Does he want to be my boyfriend?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleI started to get to know this guy on my social art site, because I noticed him at local anime conventions. We talked for about a year, then we decided to meet up at the next anime con. I offered for us to have lunch together. He agreed. At the gathering, he spent the entire day with me and my 2 friends. We had a good time.
A couple weeks later, I contacted him. He asked if I would like to go to the mall with him. I said yes, but due to complications, he ended up hanging out at my house. We played games and stuff, and then asked if he could come over again. So we did the same thing the next week. We got to be pretty good friends, talking nearly every day for 2 hours. At last, he asked me to go to the mall with him. We met up there, and had lunch. (we both paid for our own food)He said he was making a Christmas present for me. I was flattered, and said I'd make one for him, too. Nothing intimate happened, we didn't hold hands, or even touch each other at all. In the end, I had to ask him to drive me home due to complications. He said okay, but I ended up getting us lost! Finally, we reached my house, and he said He'd like to do it again. I smiled and said yeah. Since then, however, we haven't been talking nearly as much, and when we do, it's me contacting him, and me asking him questions. Over these weeks, I've come to really like him, but now I'm afraid he thinks I'm smothering him. What do you think he feels about me, and what are your suggestions for what I should do? Thank you!
RomanceClass.com AdviceIt sounds like he isn't sure if he wants a relationship with you or not. I think you might want to move on. Your instincts may well be correct, and he is pulling back. If you leave him be, and find other things to do that make you happy, he will either pursue YOU, or that will be that. Either way, at least you will know.
