Suing the Other Woman

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
Can I sue the women my husband is cheating with.

RomanceClass.com Advice
That's a legal question, not a relationship question. But I have to say from the relationship standpoint that a marriage is not a legal contract to stay away from others sexually. Many, many people have open relationships and enjoy outside sexual adventures. If your husband chose that route, then he is at fault for betraying you. The other woman was his current target - but if your husband was the cheating kind, *some* woman would have come along to get involved with him. If it wasn't the current one, it would have been someone else. You can't just keep suing the women for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I would talk with a lawyer if you're serious, but I would really talk with a therapist first. Cheating doesn't just "happen" - it is an end result of a badly matched relationship. It will do you much more good to find out why that happened so the next time you can find a guy who is much better for you.
