We're Both Shy

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
There is this dude I like and he likes me back (I think) But when I see him I just pass by him without even looking at him cause I'm really shy. So when I'm at my window he tends to not look my way or sometime he says "HI". So I stop talking to him because he never say anything to me, but my friends say that he always ask for me and that one day he said to my friend that "how come when your friend is at the window thats when she want to talk but when she outside passing by me she act like she dosen't even notice me"

Should i tell him that i'm shy and thats the reason i'm acting like that? and is it because I'm not paying him attention so he's doing the same to me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It definitely sounds like you're almost deliberately hurting him by avoiding him!! Yes, you're shy. I'm shy he's shy we're all shy!! Part of life is learning to talk to people even THOUGH you are shy, because the world is made up of people that we have to talk to.

I have LOTS of pages on my site about dealing with shyness, about flirting and breaking the ice. You don't have to sing a song for him or tap dance! You just have to say HI. So start saying HI when you see him. Just hi. Maybe hello sometimes, or how are you. Those few words can really make a HUGE difference in making things more friendly.
