After a painful breakup how do you tell that the guy would like to give the relationship a second chance?

If it was painful then you need to take it slow and gentle. I have a TON of advice on the site about how to rebuild a relationship with an ex. Work on it every day and make it a priority in your life - but be VERY patient and give it time. You need time to rebuild the hurt and pain into more loving feelings.
