I Love Her - She Loves Someone Else

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I have had a friend for 5 months in college(girl) , I never thought that may be she has a bf out of the school , and I tried my best for her , I did things for her that I dont rmember I have done for noone, because I thought that I have a one to one relation with her, just two weeks ago she told me something about her bf out of the school, and I was shocked, and the other day when I told her that I cant be your friend anymore, she was very surprised why this thing is bad for me, anyway, as much as I tried to change myself and dont mind about sort of things, I cant do anything, and I believe in a one to one relation, but now, my logic tells me definetly to leave her, but I am feeling very bad, and from the other hand I cant love her like before, because now I realize that I had my whole love for her, but she was in love with someone else, I dont know how to come out of this horrible feeling that I have, please help me how break up, because she is not gonna to leave her bf for me. please help me.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You were a good friend for her - it doesn't sound like she ever tried to date you. You made a lot of assumptions without ever talking to her? Surely you asked if she was single before pursuing her like this?

If you had two kids would you only be able to love one of them? I should certainly hope not. Mankind is perfectly capable of loving different people. She has feelings for you - and also feelings for her boyfriend. If you're going to desert every friend that you have because they also care for someone else, then you'll end up pretty lonely.

Now if your only aim is to possess her, then it's probably best if you do leave. I should hope that you could be happy being her friend, and not have possession as your sole goal in life.
