She's in a Bad Mood

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
If my girlfriend's in a bad mood and she is backing away from me, she's not very talkative on the phone either. She's always talking to her family more than she is talking to me. It hurts me. What should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Dealing with bad moods is one of the most critical things you can learn in life. All partnerships have moments where one or the other is in a bad mood. How to get through that defines the couples that survive vs the couples that fall apart.

Naturally she'll feel more comfortable talking to her family when things are bad - she's been with them her entire life! You have to build up that level of trust and comfort. There's no way you could expect that to just POOF happen after a short period of time.

So keep showing her you care. Show her you are listening. Ask her questions. Be there for her. Bring her flowers. Hang out with her and just listen. Watch a movie with her. The more you show her through your actions that you are going to be there for better AND for worse, the more she will learn to lean on you when she is feeling low.
