I Like Him - Does He Hate Me?

There's this guy that I like.
We meet a few times a week.
He's shy.
He'll sometimes hang around near me, and occasionally talks to me.
He recently said loudly to one of his mates that he hates me.
Should I bother with him?

If he's shy, maybe he was just being nervous and trying to keep his friends from teasing him about you. I wouldn't take that too seriously. Keep talking and flirting with him, just try to do it away from his teasing friends.
