i like a boy but my friend likes him too. what can i do?

This happens ALL the time. Welcome to the world of dating! Your friend IS your friend because she shares the same interests as you do. So naturally anyone you would be interested in, she would pretty much be interested in. And it happens all the time that when you break up with a guy, your best friend would then want to date him because he is someone she knows and that has common interests.

So you and your friend will need to work out a way of handling this. I really doubt this will be the only time it happens! You need to agree on who gets to chase this boy and then agree to alternate the next time. There are THOUSANDS of boys near you - this one isn't the only one. Most girls date many different boys in high school and college - so he won't be the only object of your affection. And your friendship should last them all!
