i moved to another state, far from home, to be with a guy that i've dated several times.
Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Femalei moved to another state, far from home, to be with a guy that i've dated several times. our relationship was wonderful until recently. we get along very well. he informed me that every man wants to sleep with other women. this news is devastating to me. he swears he would never cheat on me, especially because he hasn't been given "permission" (this part may have been a joke). i'm not sure if i can trust him now. he says that i'm getting lust and love confused, but i don't "lust" after anyone. i am in my 30s and a little naive, but have dated many men who, i think, would not even want to sleep with other women. he says i'm lying if i say there is not one other man that i would want to sleep with. my feelings are: i'm in love. i don't want to sleep with anyone else.
-confused!
RomanceClass.com AdviceMen, generally speaking, never stop 'lusting' after other women. That doesn't mean, however, that men can't control their urges (and that's all they are). I would not worry about it unless he gives you cause to worry (i.e. strange phone numbers on the phone, etc.) Don't snoop and don't be paranoid because you will set yourself up for hurt either way. He's being pretty honest, that's very cool. You should respect him for respecting you enough to tell you how he feels.
