My girlfriend and I have recently had some very damaging arguements.
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleMy girlfriend and I have recently had some very damaging arguements. some were my fault others not, I always try and make amends with her sometimes to no avail, and now she has decided that she needs some time to "find herself." I am alright with this even though it really hurts, I realize that she needs this time. But she is sending me mixed messages. One minute she wants to be my best friend, and the next she could be an arctic queen. I dont know if she ever plans on getting back together, but I still love her...Do I wait it out, or do I try and make the best of it?
RomanceClass.com AdviceHi,
Not only should you wait out the storm, but you should also look to see what the reasons for your fighting were. Try writing out points and topics. See what you can change about your behavior and also how you can fend of a fight and turn it into a discussion.
Also, when you are giving her her 'space' you may want to make yourself scarce. Hang out with friends, join a social group.
The above will help you if you do get back together or if you move on. You will have the time to heal and have learned more about yourself.
Best wishes,
Marc
