I know she looks good, that's my girlfriend
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleAlright so Im in the military, the Navy to be exact, and I met this girl, thats also in the Navy, a little less than 2 years ago. When I first met her I didnt really Know her but I thought she was beautiful. Then one night out of nowhere she was at this kids house that me and a couple people were throwing a party at. Well I told one of the kids there about her and the way I felt and his response was " I know she looks good thats my girlfriend". So naturally I just left it alone and me and this girl and her boyfriend became really close friends, but I also started to like her more and more. Well about 7 months later they ended up breaking it off. So i still had feelings for her so I figured that this would be the perfect time to move in but I hesitated way to long and she met some other guy. So now shes been with this new guy for about 8 or 9 months. Then he left to go to Texas and me and her are in Puerto Rico. Well its obvious to her and everyone thats around that I like her. So one night she had said something about me being cute and that she wanted to kiss me... so I told her that I liked her and then she started telling me that she couldnt do anything because of her boyfriend so I told her that it was fine. Then another day the same thing kind of happened except this time we did kiss, I couldnt even believe I was so happy and shocked I cant even explain it. And a couple of days ago we were talking about it and I asked her why she kissed me she told me that she had wanted to for a long time but whatever little reasons like there was always people around and stuff like that. Well I get nervous talking about things like that but she told me that I should say whatever Im thinking and not worry. She told me to just tell her how I feel because if its how you feel theres nothing wrong with it. So I told her everything about how I liked her since i first met her about wanting to try and hook up after she broke up with her first boyfriend just about everything I was thinking at the time. well that was about the end of my story and now Im just wondering what to do. I mean her and her boyfriend have problems like she caught him cheating on her like 3 or 4 times I think but she always forgives him. I have no clue what Im even doing. If you could help me out I would really appreciate it. And Im sorry that this e-mail is so long.

Wait it out. Just don't become 'the friend'. If she bitches to you about her boyfriend be strong and don't become her confidant, like one of her girlfriends. Let her know you care about her and it sucks, but that's it. If she tries to dwell, that's what boyfriends are for, not male friends who want to be boyfriends.
She'll eventually dump his ass and go for yours.
