Take it Slow with Rebound Girl
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old MaleI am talkin to a girl but we've already decided to go out. I started talking to her while she had a boyfriend, but I didnt mean to. I was just being friendly and we just clicked, and I really started to like her. She hated her boyfriend and she didnt need to be with him because he wasnt right for her. But anyway most people think i stole her from him but that is a lie. She is really amazing. We both like each other A LOT!
The problem is that her parents want her to have some space and not have a boyfriend right now. She hates her parents now. I had a plan that maybe we should just kinda go slow at first and get to know each other like friends and when her parents let her have a BF we can go out. I think her parents would like me because they are Christians and so am I(, Unlike her other boyfriend. Do you think this is a good idea?
RomanceClass.com AdviceI think that is a GREAT idea. Undoubtedly her parents know - very wisely - about rebound and want to make sure she's not in the middle of rebound. That is something SHE should be thinking about here too. So take it slow, be friends. There's no need to rush things. If you guys really are meant for each other, that is YEARS and years of time you will have together. Who cares if the first few months involve quiet walks and long conversations instead of a meaningless title?
