Is there any chance for us?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
My girlfriend broke up with me 2 months ago. We stayed friends for a while, and she's good friends with my sister. she met some guy online and they were talking for a little while, but the other night, i had for the first time a dream about us getting back together. then the next day, she stopped talking to him and she's on the rebound again. i was going to get with a friend's friend this weekend, but i also found out that same day that she has a boyfriend. could this be a sign? do you think God's trying to tell me that we might get back together? what should i do to prove that i'm on the rebound too, but not make it obvious that i want to get back with her?

I don't think that God is giving you signs. I think that with the dream and with finding out these new facts, it's opening you up to considering dating your ex- again. But you need to take some more time to think about why you broke up in the first place. What will change so that you don't run into the same problems yet again? What was wrong before, and how are you going to fix it? Otherwise, it's going to be the same old mess and you'll be miserable.

Take a long hard look at what you had before, and if you want to continue down this line, then you'll be better prepared for what's ahead.
