he always had problems trusting me
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old FemaleMy boyfriend and i broke up about half a year ago. We were very close and he was the first person i ever loved. During the relationship, he always had problems trusting me but i pushed them aside and thought he'd get over it. Now that we aren't together anymore, he suddenly thinks i'm a slut and doesn't talk to me anymore. I'm not sure if he really believes this strongly or not because all the evidence he has he knew before we even went out. I never did, or considered doing anything that would cause him not to trust me either. We belong to the same group of friends and this is really putting a strain on our group's friendship. I would like to be friends with my ex-boyfriend again but i don't know how to approach it the situation. How do i show him that i can be a good friend and that he can trust me?
RomanceClass.com AdviceNothing you do or don't do will change his mind. He's going to have to come to terms with this on his own. He is having trouble making the transition from ex-boyfriend to friend, and it's commendable that you want to try to do so. Give him space and let him turn around on his own. Unfortunately, this does put a crimp in your group's dynamics, but it can still work out. Your friends know you and will disregard anything he says along those lines.
Good luck with this!
