I have never met someone i have felt so strongly about in my life.
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old MaleI am a 19 year old college student and I work at my college's recreation center. There is this girl i have worked with (also 19) for almost a year who i have become friends with. Over time (about the last 5 months)i have realized i really, really like this girl a lot. I may even be in love with her. I have never met someone i have felt so strongly about in my life. I find myself thinking about her all the time. We have talked on the phone, we exchange text messages all the time and we have fun hanging out at work (where we spend the vast majority of out time together). We were supposed to hang out several times but something always came up for both of us. She is flirty i.e. hugs, brushing up against me, standing really close, punches, and sometimes playfully kicking and smacking with a book, my butt. But i think she is a flirty girl by nature although i have to say I have never (nor have our co-workers) seen her do some of the things she does to me to other guys. She is a tomboy, she has many more guy friends than girl friends. I cant be sure if she likes me back in that way. I will catch her staring at me a lot, perhaps trying to read me, especially when i am talking to other people. She always asks what i did for fun over the weekend. She is in good shape and I am overweight, something i am positive is an issue for her in considering a guy. I believe that me being overweight may be the deciding factor in taking it further because we seem to have a lot in common, especially in our moral beliefs. I have been working like crazy to lose weight and am continuing to do so. She takes dating seriously and does not date casually, she likes to get to know someone well before dating and prefers to be friends first. I gave her little gifts for her birthday and christmas. She was shocked and gave me big hugs, rocking back and forth. At christmas I think she almost kissed me, rubbing the sides of my face and standing close while hugging me. I am driving myself crazy and suffering in silence working with this girl. I love her so much and I just dont know what to do. If we ever became more, she would be treated like a princess, and would want for nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!!
RomanceClass.com AdviceIf you like this girl so much, why don't you ask her out on a date? It's been almost a year and you haven't asked her to a movie yet? Are you waiting for her to make a move?
It sounds to me like you two have a good relationship started here that will improve with time. You say she's a sweetheart of a girl, but then complain that she won't like you because of your weight. That's silly --- she would love you for you, not for what you look like. So go for it, you have nothing to lose!
