RomanceClass.com AdviceYou have two questions here, really. You want to know if your weight's the issue, and you want to know how to ask this guy out.
First, ask your mom to work with you on losing weight. The Atkins Diet is all the rage now, and my sister has had great success with it, without sacrificing any nutritional value. Also keep in mind that bodies come in all shapes and sizes and only if a doctor says it's unhealthy is when it's too much. Make sure you're not overstating the problem and you're really normal instead of paper thin.
Second, the best way to ask someone out is to be their friend first. Get to know him through school or your classes or through lunchtime. Chat about school and movies and whatever, get familiar with him first so that when you do ask he's much more likely to say yes to you. There's a whole bunch of tips on the site about flirting with guys and asking friends to date... stop by and check them out!
Good luck!
