I've been hurting since my boyfriend broke up with me

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Alright, I'm thirteen and fairly young. But I've been hurting since my boyfriend broke up with me and I can't stop thinking about him. Although, I'm pretty sure he is over me. What can I do to completely free myself of what I'm feeling? What can I do to get my mind off of him and to keep my life going as a normal thirteen year old girl should?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Giving up any relationship is difficult, so it's no wonder that you're still hurting. Give yourself time to get over him and heal from the breakup. You built up all sorts of dreams of your life with each other, and those were suddenly broken when you two broke up.

To get over a guy, you need to put him into your past. Every time you think of him, remind yourself that it's in the past and you'll remember him fondly, but that you're going to move on to a better guy. And enjoy your time with your friends, find things to do to keep yourself busy. And enjoy your family, get back in touch with them now that your time's not taken up with your boyfriend anymore. The more you find new things to do, the more likely it is that you'll be over him quickly. And then you can enjoy your life more.

Good luck!
