Boyfriend breaks up

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Okay two months ago I broke up with my boyfriend of a year and half. He said that he didnt want to be in a relationship anymore not with anyone or so he said and now he is seeing another girl. I'm in the military and i waited 5 months for him while he was deployed to the desert. i was the only one he could depend on to always be there to talk to when he called. When he came back he asked me to move in and then four months later he broke up with me. I feel like i have been dumped on like i wasnt anyone special at all. He says that he loves me but not like that which he just started saying. I gave him everything and treated him like a king. And I feel as though he didn't put even half the effort in to our relationship as i did to make it work but i'm being punished for it. I love him so much. And when i thought about the future he was in it. And i know that if i stop talking to him he will realize what he had. But it kills me that he is with this other girl i feel so betrayed. But as much as i want to its hard for me not to talk to him. I'm driving myself crazy. HELP

Its sounds like you did all the right things and then got dumped on. This is a miserable condition to be in. There are tons of tips on this site about breaking up. Try reading those sections and maybe you will find something to help you.

Perhaps you should reduce the number of calls you have with him since they make you upset. Gradually your feelings will settle down once you fully accept that the relationship is over. It's probably too early to think about finding another man, but that might be what really helps you get your happiness back again.
