Unavailable girlfriend
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleI've only been going out with this girl for 2 weeks and I think she may already be cheating on me, but I'm not sure. She likes to flirt and she has a lot of guy friends. Everyone I talk to told me they never heard of her cheating on any of her boyfriends. I asked her to just date and she wanted a relationship, so I agreed to that. Since, I've been going out with her, she whispers to her friends a lot and makes sure I can't hear. She only hangs out with me after work on Fridays and Saturdays, and she only works four hours a day, seven days a week. I told her I would like to spend more time with her and she agrees to it, but right before I would pick her up, some family issue would come up and she can't go out. Last night, I was with her and her friend. When her friend went home, she whispered a few things to her so that I wouldn't hear. About a half-hour later, she gets a call on her cell phone that she has to go home to take care of something. I've been seeing a lot of this since I've been going out with her. Got any advice for me.
RomanceClass.com AdviceYour girlfriend should make more time for you if at all possible. But, since you have only been going out for two weeks, perhaps she hasn't made much of a comittment to you yet. Keep asking for a little more time and see what happens.
I would disregard her giggling... it sounds like a quirk of hers and she is unlikely to get over it.
Just remember that you are in the very early stages of your romance and you both need time to get used to each other. Try hard to be honest with her and trusting of her and expect the same from her.
Hoping you have the best of luck,
George
