Should we get back together?
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old FemaleMy ex-boyfriend and I are both 20 years old college students. We dated for 17 months and right when I transferred to an out of town college he broke up with me one week later. He was being so nice and sending me cards, calling constantly and even gave me a going away gift the day before I left. I have no idea why he led me on and promised me that we would be fine. Since then, he claims he wants to get back together, but I don't. Why did he lead me on? Was it out of guilt? Did he know he was going to be breaking up with me soon after I moved? Please help!
RomanceClass.com AdviceMy guess is that he was being very honest when you were leaving. But, once he felt the reality of the separation it was too traumatic for him. That's when he broke up.
Now he realizes how much he cares for you and wants you back. I have no advice on this-- you will have to decide how much he means to you and whether you will give him another chance.
Good luck,
George
