Asking her out

i've read through your site and think its great. but... i have a really good friend who I really do have feelings for , but dont know if she feels the same way. i want to ask her out but, what if she doesnt feel the same way and it ruins the friendship.please help me, i love her.

The key element is not to scare off your friend by blurting out "I love you"
You might pose a question like "do you think we will ever go out?" Your friend's reply will give you a clue whether to pursue it or not. Chances are that if you are really good friends she might feel the same about you.
