Talks when drunk
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old FemaleI have an ex-boyfriend that says he loves me and wants to be with me but he cant,he says he is scared. He told me i had the key to his heart and not to ever lose it. And he also says when he sees his future he sees me in it and he was stupid for even breaking up with me and he really does want to be with me but is scared becasue he does not want the same thing to happen again.(Us going together and breaking up, that is what has happened in the past for the past 2 years)BUT when he says all this to me he is usually drunk. And people say your true feelings come out when you are drunk.? Knowing all of this and trying to believe it i dont know if i should. He also gave me something very precious to him. And that is odd for his to do that especially what he gave to me. So all of this has happened and he says he will start calling me but still has not and it has been almost a week. Does he really love me like he says he does? Is this how he really feels? What do you think is going through his head while he is telling me all of this?
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou wrote the other day about this same problem and my answer is still the same. Here is is again:
Your boyfriend doesn't know what he wants. The times he comes back to you, when he is drunk or when you have someone else, are very poor things to base a relationship on.
Instead of thinking of it as his problem, take charge of the situation and take a firm stand with him. Let him know that the next time he breaks up with you is the last time. If he does it again, then don't take him back. This is the only way to solve the problem.
Sorry you are in this situation.
Good luck,
George
