Inappropriate touching
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleHi, From the time i was 13 to about 20 I was sexualy harassed by a female relative. She lived with us and when I did complain to my parents I was told I was misunderstanding simple affection. I've lived away from home for seven years and have recently moved back for a visit. All was fine and I thought we had got over this problem. However I'm seeing someone now and last week the whole problem started off again. She does not do anything that I could bring up in a court of law... just inappropriate touching and groping and accidental bruhing. I have told her to lay off and I have had an argument about the inappropriateness of the whole thing. I am now at a loss as to what I should do. This is a problem for me as it is making me moody and irritable and extremely nervous. I am going to leave in about three months but any advice in the interim would help. Thanks
RomanceClass.com AdviceMy advice is to confront this relative again and again until she gets the message. Whenever she brushes you, tell her to stop it. It will be tough to do because the things she does are subtle.
Good luck,
George
