How to be more than just friends

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male

There is this girl that is 13 and we both started out liking each other. She told her friends that we liked each other and I told my friends that we liked each other. The weird thing is that she's not in my grade and I only see her twice a day at school( passing each other in the hall way.) The only time I can really talk to her is if I see her at her locker ( which I do ) and call her (which I also do.) A month after we've been liking each other she gives me a note saying (I think I'd rather be friends with you. I would like to have a boyfriend who I have classes with. P.S. I hope we can still be freinds.(smiley face with tears). It's been like three weeks after she gave me the note and It is hard to just be friends with her because I hardly ever see her.{ Please note that she is the finest girl in the school.} At the end of the school year we are going to have a GENTS BALL or (PROM). I 've already asked her to be my date, but she said she has to think about it.

So how can I get closer to her as a friend and how can I convince her to go to the prom with me.

You should continue what you were doing, but do it as a friend. Who knows, she may change her mind! Closer to the end of the school year, ask her to go to the prom with you, as a friend.

Good luck,
George
