The party's over

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I have been with a girl for four years and it has been six months since we departed. I have been actively seeking counseling for temper management. something that I have displayed to her throughout most of our relationship. It ended sort of violent and she lost her cool and physically struck me. I was devastated and feelings from being abused as a child had been rekindled. I did not strike her but I felt so angry. I did not know what to do. I told her that I needed six months away from her I told her out of anger that it was over. We share a common problem std. I gave it her unknowingly she forgave me. I took a month 1/2 off and I tried to at least restore the communication between us. she has made that very difficult for me and I think that she is involved with some else at the moment.I do not know what to do I tried calling and emailing. she is very unresponsive and she does not even want to talk to me. I really want to be her friend at least if not nothing else. How do I go about doing that. she tells me in an email that she is not throwing me away she just needs space and she need lots of it..
what do I do. I really love her and I miss her dearly she went as far as telling me that she has gotten a restraining order. I went to the police department and found out that she lied to me about that.
how do I get her to talk to me. please help me I am going crazy. I feel like I done her so wrong. I do not know what to do.
