Age differences

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
There is a guy at work who is 4 years older then me. One day he all of a sudden joked around by saying that I was always here (working) and jokingly told me to go home. After that, everytime he pass's by me he either gives me a high five, or smiles and says hi, or if I'm not looking, he will tap me on the shoulder as he walks by. A good friend of mine who knows him says he flirts with everyone, but told me I should get together with him, because he is a really nice guy. Everyone else says he's weird (for different reasons, like being too happy all the time. Which is a dumb reason.) I've asked him casually out for lunch 3 times now, but he was either too busy to get a break or he was/is sick. But he says he's working on it. He's a really sweet guy. But he is 4 years older then me. I'm of legal age to date someone older, but what are the pro's and con's of dating someone 4 years older then me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Once you are out of high school, dating someone older isn't much of an issue (unless the age difference is 18 to 40 or some such thing). But, in any case, a four year difference shouldn't make too much difference if you are out of high school. The older you are the less difference is makes. Being the same age means you have shared the same culture; being of a different age lets you see things from a different vantage. Take your pick :-)

Happy New Year!
George
