Parents don't seem to care
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleOkay, I'm almost 17 and have had a few girlfriends in the past. The problem is not with them, it's with my parents. They never really seem to take an interest in my relationships, or take the time to really meet my girlfriends.I feel like they don't care, and this makes me somewhat insecure in my relationships that my parents don't approve. I don't know if they don't think they can trust me or what. I've tried talking to them but that didn't get anywhere. The thing is I've found this new girl that I might date, should I just go for it and not worry about my parents?
RomanceClass.com AdviceIt's too bad that your parents are so uncaring about something important in your life. You do have it better than others your age whose parents meddle too much.
Regarding this new girl, I would suggest you just go for it and not worry about your parents. You are plenty old enough to choose your own friends and girl friends.
Hope things work out well with this new girl!
