See a counselor #2

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
About a month ago my boyfriend broke up with me over the phone due to an argument that we had. Both of us have gone through major depression. He has gotten over it but im still depressed because i miss him so much and i cant live my life without him. I am sure he misses me just as much but wont put his gaurd down because his feelings for me might come back. I call him about 2-3x a week. But i want to know should i ignore him or give him attention? He never calls me. He says he wants to remain friends. But it seems like he wants to ignore me instead. Due to the depreseion he is smoking alot and i am worried about what he might do to himself. What should i do to get him back in my life? Because we were together for 3 years. I cant live without him! And i know he cant either but doesnt want to show it. I have told him that i love him more than ever and that i miss him but he says he doesnt care nor that he loves me anymore. However, before that he would even die for me. .. The reason he broke up with me is because he wanted to tell the whole world that we were together and i didnt want people to know because my parents are very strict. And i told him that if he cant deny the fact that we arent together then its ok for me to put up with his bs? not having money , or a car, or buying presents ? I told him he's the girl and im the guy and he said i broke him..what do i do PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE

RomanceClass.com Advice
Your college has professional counselors to help students who are having emotional troubles. Go see one immediately. You don't want to flunk out of college. Also, your chances of getting him back are low while you are in this condition.

Make sure he knows that you still love him (if you haven't done so already). Tell him you are going to a mental health counselor to try to get a handle on what is going on. Tell him you hope you two can get back together sometime soon. Apologize for comparing him to a girl (this is what seems to have pushed him over the edge).

Best of luck!
George
