Let him know you love him
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleI am a 19 year old female, and back in august, I met this great guy at a dancehall. He asked me to dance and it was wonderful. The whole night he held my hand, and then later, we slow danced and he kissed me for the first time. The rest of the night we kissed and talked. We went on a date 2 days later. On the 5th day, he said he loved me. I was a virgin before i met him, but i'm not now. We had sex 2 weeks after we met. He gave me a promise ring, and said that we would get married. I should have mentioned this earlier, but he is in the Navy, and was only in my town for 2 months. He is in Spain right now for 2 years. He broke up with me after we dated 5 months. He had a family emergency and then when I talked to him after that, he said he didn't know where I or he would be in 2 years. He said it was not fair to me to wait 2 years for him. He said he didn't love me anymore, and was over me. WHAT? Somebody, please, let me know what he is really trying to say. I love him, and our relationship was not perfect, but it was pretty good. HELP!!!
RomanceClass.com AdviceMake sure he knows that you love him and want to wait for him.
If he still wants to stay broken up, it is because he doesn't want to try to keep the relationship going long-distance. Maybe he wants to be able to date other women during the next two years.
So, make every effort to keep him for yourself, but be realistic if he is not willing to do the same.
Good luck!
