Rumors of cheating
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleMe and my boyfriend have been together for a while now. I love him more than anything and would do anything for him. Some girl in one of his classes told him that I am cheating on him, and some girl called him and told him that I was cheating on him. He is believing the girls that told him that because he says I have no way of proving that I am not cheating on him. He is the type of guy to believe everything he hears. I am not cheating on him though, and I could never do that. I don’t know how to prove it though. Is there anything I can do to stop this, because I am so afraid of losing him, especially for something I would never do. Please help!
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou can't prove you aren't cheating.
However, you can find out who is giving him this bad information. Call them up and ask them where they got their information from. Call every person in this rumor chain you can and tell them you would never think of cheating.
If they mention a boy's name call him and ask him to verify that the information is wrong.
Tell all this to your boyfriend and perhaps he will understand how stupid rumors can start and ruin peoples happiness.
All this effort is a pain, but it's the only way I can think of getting to the root of the problem.
Good luck!
