Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I'm a 16 year-old sophomore and I like this 18 year-old senior. Our shops(homerooms)are right next to each other. She's beautiful, extremely sporty, strong and very far from a girly-girl... When we had our "Talk of Truth", this is what happened:

Me - Hey, ______. What's up?

Her - Nothing much. I'm a little tired from yesterday's
soccer game, though.

Me - Heh, poor ______. *smile*

Her - *smile*

Me - Hey... Um... You know I like you, right?

Her - Yes.......

Me - Well... I was just wondering where I stood with you.

Her - Just friends... *nods and grins*

But that happened a long time ago, yet it was a very important event. Anyway, I really like her more than a friend. I try to talk to her whenever I can; Gym, between classes, her shop break, homeroom and on the phone. But I rarely ever get to talk to her outside of school because she's ALWAYS busy. I wrote her letters asking her about things between us. I asked her out the other day and she seemed to be willing to do it, but she never has any time.

I'm shy, but I'm getting better by talking to her in her homeroom. Her shop-mates make sexual comments at me because they screw around a lot. I smile, laugh and so does she. But I just don't know what to do to get her more interested in me.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Sounds like you have done a lot already to get her interested in you.

Your effort to get her to go out on a date with you seems like the best way to further your relationship. Keep trying on this angle.

If you can, go to her soccer games and cheer her and her team. This will show you in a positive light.

She may simply not have enough time for a boyfriend in her life... or, possibly she may not be interested in boys.

But, don't give up hope... happiness can strike at any time. Keep after it!

Good luck!
George
