Tell him what you want

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been together 9 mos. I really, really did not want to lose my virginity until I was married, but 3 months ago we did it for the first time and lost our virginity to each other. He promised me that if I had sex with him just once that he would wait until we were married to have sex again. He also promised me that he would go to church with me once a month. Neither thing has turned out to be true. Sometimes those broken promises eat me alive. We are madly in love, and I know he didnt mean to hurt me but i know in my heart he never intended either promise to hold strong. He says I was just too beautiful, that he couldn't take seeing me everyday without doing something. I am 21 and he is 24. Can you please help me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It is very difficult to stop having sex once you start. Your boyfriend probably wasn't aware of this when he made the promise. But, a promise is a promise and he should keep up his side of the bargain.

Same thing goes for church. Remind him that he promised to go to church once a month. Make sure he has appropriate clothing to do so-- that may be holding him back.

It is important for him to keep his promise because it presents him in the position of an untrustworthy and dishonest person. These are import factors in a good relation. You don't want to help him set a pattern of this kind of behavior.

Good luck!
George
