Keep using the phone

Hi. I'm a 8th grader and I have a girl friend in 7th grade. In the beginning of the school year, we liked each other alot. I guess we were considered
"boyfriend and girlfriend." The only problem was that we never got a chance to see each other, so she just told me she wants to be just friends, and I agreed with her. Currently she has a boyfriend, but we still talk on the phone every once in a while. I just want to know how I can be able to keep in touch with her throughout the summer and next school year, when I'm in high school.
