Doesn't know how he feels

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I went out with a guy for 8 months when i was 15, he was my first love and first everything, then i became a very jealous girlfriend and we had to break up because of it, we were still on and off after we broke up, and he would see other girls too but still told me taht i was the one and he still loved me, now im 20 recently he went away to study for this semester but before he left i told him i couldnt take it anymore because he kept coming back to me and then leaving again, so we stopped talking for alittle bit when i broke it off. He has been gone now for so long and i miss him soo much, and recently he went online and told me that he was studying in switzerland, taht he's having a great time, and i told him that i was glad he was having a good time but i miss him, and he said taht went he gets back we'll "have coffee" and talk about it, i have no idea whats going to happen and he hasnt told me how he feels if he misses me or anything, all he said was "i think about u quite often" i dont know what that means... i'm just scared of whats going to happen when he gets back, i dont know what to say to him because i dont know how he feels about me. what should i do?

I think he misses you too since he said he thinks of you often.

If you really need to know how he feels, just ask him online. But my advice is to wait until he returns and find out by talking to him in person. You haven't really given him much of an idea of how you feel about him. Saying you "miss him" isn't saying a whole lot.

A good clue as to how he feels is how quick he is about setting a date for having coffee. You might want to remind him so he knows you are interested.
