I deserve to have a guy that loves me and only wants to be with me and no one else
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleI took your advice and asked about the girlfriend. I was upfront with him. I said, " I deserve to have s guy that loves me and only wants to be with me and no one else." He replied, "Everyone thinks they deserve that." I said," Not every person does what it takes to treat others and live a way to deserve it" "I do and will not settle." His reply if he was not in the situation he is in things would be different. I simply said I am going on a dat Saturday. That was a fib. I also mad e sure he knew he had absolutely no chance to have sex with me. I had to repeat it 3-4 times. He asked for a hug next time. He got upset and said I jump arounfd in my sentences and makes it hard for him to understand. I said maybe I use too many big words. He then wanted to challenge me to a "Smart Off", an intellectual challenge of wits. What do you think about this situation? Is he intimidated by me? Did I bruise his ego? I did all the right things to preserve my self respect. Dio you think he is getting the message. My next step should be to ignore his calls.? pr not? that is if he calls again. Ifeel better that i did not go far with him, but still a little confused.
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou did an excellent job of laying out the facts and feelings for him.
His reaction that you were confusing him sounds far fetched. He probably wasn't ready to be told the truth. Now he has something to think about.
It doesn't sound like you are very committed to him, so my advice is to wait and see how he behaves and how he follows through on your comments to him. If he is mature, which is questionable at this point, perhaps you two can find a way to make a relationship work.
Hope things turn out the way you want them to!
