Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I don't know what to think anymore. My ex and I get along so well (he's in two of my classes). Everyone sees it. Everyone sees how he flirts with me and how great we are when we're together. However, outside of class, communication is based solely on text messaging. He knows I quit drinking. He even told me the reason he broke up with me that night was because of the drinking (there was a fight). He couldn't take how I got when i drank. He even stated how proud he was of me for not drinking (I haven't touched alcohol in almost 2 months). What I want to know is what do I do/think about this whole situation. He's helping me move in May to my new apartment. What should I say to him? I want him back, but I have never once begged him back or made it apparent that I want him back.

I want to prove to him that I am not drinking, and I don't know how just words could prove that to him. What should I do?

The best way to prove that you are no longer drinking is to go to a party with him and don't drink.

Since you want him back, you should tell him how you feel. Maybe he wants back together again too.
