Her mom is ok but a little concerned about the age difference but her dad doesnt understand at all
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleAs I was driving down the beach I saw these 2 girls that waved hi to me and yelled out "nice car" and eventually I stopped to talk to them. When I stopped one of the girls immediately wanted to take a picture in the car with me and I got her friends number. We kept in touch and hung out for a little while for 2 more days and I realized that the girl that got in the car to take a picture with me liked me and I thought both of them looked cute anyway so I went for that girl. We talked on the phone and took pictures and grew attached. She told me she was 17 but after the second day of hanging out she told me she was 16. She was here on vacation with her parents so they drove back home in another state. Me and her grew really attached and I want to drive up to her house to see here which is 10 and half hours away. Im about to turn 21 in june and she just turned 16. Her mom is ok but a little concerned about the age difference but her dad doesnt understand at all. I asked lots of people if the difference in age should really be an issue since im about to turn 21 in 2 months and she just turned 16. Friends are concerned because shes young and the law might be a problem and could be against me if anything went wrong. Me and her really like each other and im willing to see her like twice a month driving 10 hours so its not much of a problem for me. Shes gonna sit down and talk to her parents and how we feel so they can understand and if i got there i want to talk to them as well so I can help them understand. Do you think that her age and mine is really that big of a problem?

RomanceClass.com AdviceThe age difference is a concern. There is the law to consider. Also, she should have an opportunity to date kids her own age and not have a long distance romance at her age.
However, the decision is her parents'. I'm familiar with a relationship between a 17 yr old girl and a 27 yr old man which worked for a while until he wanted to get married and she needed to go to college.
Best of luck to you!
