Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Femaleok first of all i have to tell u that this story is abt an arab partners,, maybe that piece of info has an impact on understanding the characters,, so wat i term emotional doesnt involve sex..
i m a 23 yrs old girl so is my ex,,, we met at university had a 6 month emotional relation and it was perfect...we palnned beeing together for good then broke up for family reasons since my family didnt like him and had me under pressure,,, and i was 19 at that time... we then deciced being friends but i ve always wanted hime back and honestly persued that i tried showing him how much i cared and did everything,,, during the past 3 yrs we ve been through up and down curves sometimes i feel he likes me and others he treat me like shit,,, generally he kept on saying he dont love me anymore,,, but sometimes he looks at me in a way that i know he likes me,,, during the past 3 years we sometimes used to talk everyday or max weekly,,, for the past 9 month he got so far since he left to another country yet i still had hope to get back only if he understands how much i loved him,,, we r still friends though sometime he gets wierd and rude but we usually get back again,,, during the past 3 years he sometimes said that had we been together it would have been perfect but then things get messed uo and we fight,,, i understand him so well and so does he,,, but lately i knew he had a gf and broke up he also told me abt her not mentioning how buring it is to hear abt ur lover gf,,, we still talk online and on phone and i want him back badly

If they still won't let you marry him then why do you want him back? You two seem to suit each other well except for fighting too much. But, if you were together you would probably not fight so much
To get him back, have long honest trusting conversations with him and try to figure out what you want for a relationship. Discuss your parents and whether they are still a problem for you two.
You two are going to have to spend a lot of time discussing your problems and try to work out a compromise where you both feel good.
