neither of us have the guts to tell them we actually set a date
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleHey there,
Me and my fiance have decided that we are going to get married in summer 2007 (we want to leave plenty of time in between because we are building a house), the house is starting in aug this year so that would leave us a whole year to decorate it and save for a wedding! questtion 1/ is this enough time to decorate a house and plan a wedding?
question 2/ our families know we are engaged and are very happy for us, but neither of us have the guts to tell them we actually set a date.
I know they are going to be happy but I don't know what way to start the conversation.....
it sounds so stupid just to say........"well, ya know the way we are engaged , well, ummmmm , eh".....
Help, how do I do this?
a
RomanceClass.com AdviceOne year sounds like enough time to furnish your house and plan a wedding, but I would suggest you do some Internet searching (e.g. www.google.com) to see what professionals would say.
Regarding your parents, say that you have tentatively set a date and wonder if it is reasonable in their eyes given that the house isn't build yet.
Killing two birds with one stone :-)
Good luck,
George
