the guy i have a crush on found out about it

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Hey,

Well we recently got out of school and the guy i have a crush on found out about it. My goal this summer is to not see him at all i think if there is space between us maybe things will get better. Everyone knows i like him and im trying to make them believe i dont because i heard that guys like girls that are hard to get. I dont want him to think im obsessed or a stalker but everything i do is only making my chances with him worse. By next year i want him to have respect for me and not think im crazy please if you have any advice let me know asap!!!

I think you are over-reacting to this situation.

There is nothing wrong with you having a crush on him and him finding out about it. That doesn't make you a stalker or obsessed or crazy. You are just normal.

Why wait a whole summer to start a relationship with him? Make contact with him and simply tell him that you like him and would like to see him sometime during the summer. All he can do is say no... that's not the worst thing in the world. It isn't going to be any different next fall.

Find out his email or phone number through friends and make a pleasant direct approach to him. He will respect you for doing that. And, who knows, you may have a wonderful summer of time together with him.

It is better to take a chance than to regret not having done so.

Best of luck to you!
George
