18 with No Boyfriend

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I am 18 years old and I have never had a boyfriend. I admit I'm not beautiful but I don't consider myself a horrendous thing. I am a very social person and I have lots of friend, but I cannot seem to get anyone attracted to me. This whole situation is making me feel really bad. I feel out of place when all my girl friends are with their boyfriends and I'm always the third wheel. Before it didn't use to bother me as much but the older I get, the more worry I become. Is there something I'm doing wrong? How can I get guys to like me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
The MTV ads make it seem that everyone must date. But it's actually very common for people to go through high school without finding a person to date. It's because high school is such a tiny group of people! It means you're not allowing yourself to settle for a bad match. Believe me, there are thousands of *good* matches for you out there.

Don't worry about not having a boyfriend yet. Find ways to enjoy life, enjoy your hobbies. And then look for ways to do those things and hobbies in situations where there are lots of men and women. You'll find that as you get into more adult groups, and college and so on, that you'll naturally start mingling with tons of guys that are much more suited to you. And if you're having fun doing things you love, and meet guys who also love those hobbies, the match will be pretty easy.
