I am 28 years old and 5 mths pregnant. My boyfriend is 18 yrs old and he decided earlier this week to leave me
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleI am 28 years old and 5 mths pregnant. My boyfriend is 18 yrs old and he decided earlier this week to leave me. He had been living with me and I told him that we shouldn't live together until he could afford to pay half the bills. He only works like 20 hrs a week and makes very little money. I told him that he should get a better job so we could live together and so that he could help take care of this baby. (I also have two other children and he has none). He said that I stressed him out, drove him to the ground, and that he just couldn't take it anymore. He moved back home with his mom and goes out and gets drunk everynight. He says that he wants to be part of the baby's life but, that he just doesn't want to be with me. We had been talking about marriage and he had even got me an engagement ring but, hadn't given it to me yet. What happened? How could he up and just leave me 5 mths pregnant? He said that he still thinks about me all the time and cries and that he still loves....but, he won't come back to me. Why is he torturing himself and me this way? He says that I don't need him and that I am better off without him. Please help! Thanks.
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou are putting a lot of stress on an 18 year old.
He is too immature to live up to your expectations. So you are going to have reduce your expectations or give him up.
If you want him back, invite him back to live with you and tell him you don't expect him to pay half the expenses just yet. Help him look for a better or an additional job so he can bring in more money.
Hopefully, if he comes back and the baby is born, that will make him more mature and he will make more money.
Good luck!
