I really believed (and still do) he is "the one"
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleSo here is the deal...my ex broke up with me about 15 months ago. The reason that he gave me was that he just wanted to focus more on his studies and his career, but I think my demands and the long distance made it really hard too. It was really hard for me to deal with the break up, especially since we seemed to share the special bond. I really believed (and still do) he is "the one". I was not able to talk to him, hear his name, etc. for like 10 months. I eventually got over it and started seeing other people, but in the back of my mind not one of them even came close to understanding me or sharing the bond that i once did with my ex. It was crazy, for the last few weeks of school he had been on my mind a lot. On the day of my college graduation he emailed me and wished me congrats and we have been in communication since. Now he is preparing to move back to his hometown and wants to see me on his way up. I have no idea what to expect when I see him. I mean I havent seen him in well over a year. Do you think there will be any awkwardness? When I talk to him it feels just like it used to...I think he is flirtatious sometimes but I cant really tell. All i know is that I absolutely light when I hear from him. I guess the bottom line is this...When i see him, how will i be able to differentiate his feelings? What things suggest he just wants to be freinds or what will signal that he wants me back? I still love him and want him back. Should I let him know that right off the back or should I gauge my actions off of what he does?
RomanceClass.com AdviceYou definitely should let him know how you feel.
You have the choice of: via email; first thing when you meet him; wait and see how he is acting with you.
Just don't wait until the last minute.
My advice is to meet him, let the conversation begin. Have some questions which you can slip into the conversation... like is he dating, does he still have any feelings for you. In any case, and again don't wait until the last minute, do tell him how you feel. You will regret it forever if you don't tell him.
My best wishes are with you!
