I really want to get back together, what could I talk to him about to make him change his mind?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleOkay so my boyfriend and I broke up last Friday and I know this is probably too soon to start trying to win him back but I really want to. We broke up after 4 months of wonderful b/c he said that he didn't want a relationship right now which came right out of nowhere. While we were dating we expressed to each other that we loved each other and I know that he was being totally honest with me when he told me. I asked him when he broke up with me if he thought that he might change his mind and he told me that he didnt know, but if I had to have a yes or no answer right then that he would have to say no that he didnt think he was going to change his mind. He has worked at the same place for 4 years, but he starts a new job on Monday. I thought that maybe this had something to do with our break up, but I am really not sure. I haven't called him since the break up, but I saw him today when I went to a friends house and he made a point to come speak to me after he saw me. We tried a little small talk, but then he asked me how I was doing. I told him that I've been okay, but I have my moments. I asked him if he missed me, and he told me sometimes he does. He talked to me for a while and then went to find one of our friends. Then he and our friend went to go get something and he made a point to tell me where they were going and that they would be back soon and he would see me then. When he was on his way home from leaving our friends house, he stopped to talk to me while I was sitting in my car (supposedly about my friend and his friends relationship troubles that they were having). Then after he had pulled away and was on his way home, he called me to talk about our friends again. I dont know if I should have asked him if we could talk later, but I did. So he said that he would call me tomorrow and we would talk. I really want to get back together with him, and I just want to know what I could possibly talk to him about that would make him change his mind.
RomanceClass.com AdviceHe is probably having second thoughts about breaking up with you.
You can lay it on the line and tell him you want to get back together.
Or, you can just be a friend and see where that leads. He may initiate the getting back together-- who knows?
My advice is to just be his friend for a while... if too much time passes then you can tell him you still love him and want him back.
Good luck!
