We want to date but we can't because we aren't allowed to date until we are 16
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleOkay, I'm real good friends with a girl. We're both 13 and we both know that we like each other. We've told each other a few times online(we see each at school too, though). We want to date but we can't because we aren't aloud to date until we are 16. That's when we're juniors in high school!!! We don't want to wait that long. Is there any way for us to hangout or stuff to do, but not intimate enough to be considered dating? Like a way to get closer? Thanks!
p.s. it needs to be common enough that the parents won't get too suspicious
RomanceClass.com AdviceAsk your parents what you are allowed to do together as friends.
For example, hanging out at school, taking a walk, going to the movies, etc.
The bad news is they may say you can't do some common things.
Stress the fact that you are just friends and that you will respect their expectations that you wait until 16 to date. That should increase their trust.
Once you get a little closer to high school and if your parents still trust you, you might be able to get them to change their minds a little and let you start daing when you are sophomores.
Good luck!
