I put all my emotions on my boyfriend...probably stressed him out REALLY BAD
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old FemaleOkay, I've been in my first relationship ever for the past 4 months with this incredible guy...Well, at the end of June, my parents separated, which made me an emotional wreck 24/7. I put all my emotions on my boyfriend...probably stressed him out REALLY BAD...well his family took me with them on vacation...and I was rather upset and no fun the whole time due to my parents...and when we went home we didnt ride together. So i thought that was kind of odd...and he didnt want to hug me when i went to my home when we got back into town. He didn't call me for 2 days and finally when he did, it wasnt good...he told me he wanted to take a "break". It sounded like a break-up to me...so the next day I was all psycho and upset and he explained why he wanted a break...football, football camp, time to "himself" ,and friends were the reasons...he DID give up his whole summer to be with me and not friends which makes me feel good...but still, this "break" still doesnt sound good. He says we'll get back together, but he doesnt know when. He told my three best friends that we were takin a break before he told ME. Now, I really dont mind a break for the rest of the summer, but I would like to be back with him by the time school starts...what do you think?
RomanceClass.com AdviceMaybe the break will give you a chance to spend some more time getting over your parents. Your gloomy mood is something your ex is probably having a hard time with.
There is only about a month before school starts so that is a good amount of time for you two to take a break.
Try to get rid of some of your blues so you are ready for a new school year and also ready to start up your relationship with your boyfriend again.
Hope this all works out ok for you!
