Can long distance relationships really work?

Visitor's Question from a 51-60 year old Female
Can long distance relationships really work? Can you really get to know a person in a long distance relationship over the phone? Is backing out on a trip at the last minute by email his way of saying, "I'm not into you anymore"?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Yes, it is possible to develop a strong relationship long-distance.

Make sure you call him asap and find out the real reason for his backing out of the trip. It could just be jitters and worry that you won't like him. I don't think it means that he doesn't like you anymore.

I don't think we would have made plans for the trip if he didn't like you. Maybe you should be the one who makes the visit if he is shy.

Find out what's going on or you'll be wondering for months.

Good luck!
George
