why does he insist on being with me, calling me all day and wanting to spend money on me?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
When I was a senior in high school (about 6 yrs ago) I dated this guy who I completely fell in love with but unfortunately he dumped me and said we just didn't "weave". But even after the breakup he continued to call me constantly and even drove 4 hours to see in college (completely unexpectantly). After the two of us have been in 4 yr relationships, and both have since broken up out of those relationships.. he has began to call me. We have been spending a lot of time together, he asks me out to dinner, we go out to clubs, etc. A lot of the time I feel like the "shoulder to cry on" as he discusses his ex. But this past weekend we went out to the club, got drunk and ended up kissing and getting into some heavy petting. I'm completely falling for him all over again and am afraid that he is using me because he has no one else to talk to. But why does he insist on being with me all the time, calling me a million times a day and wanting to just spend money on me? I'm confused.

Thanks for your help!

He apparently craves your company.

That sounds like a strong interest and if you are falling for him it is time to have a good chat about your relationship.

I think you two are ripe for getting back together!
